Cheap fuel water separater on ebay

If anyone is looking for a cheap Racor water separating filter, there is a guy on ebay selling a kit for $10 OBO,, I bid a couple dollars less, and got it, actually bought several to split the mailing with a few others..

I've run 3 diesel cars now for a total of 38 years. Have never had a problem with water. Yeah, the occasional miss that may have been a water drop, but never a stoppage. Had a stoppage from 3 straight tanks of 5% bio after running non bio for about 25 years in the 240D. Bio cleans out crud that accumulates without it. Now, I occasionally get a tank of 5% bio still available from the local Shell station.

Now on my 3rd diesel tractor and have never had water separate in the water bowl of any of them. Had one partially plug the tank outlet with dropped-out wax globs from a couple really cold nights one winter.

I bought a half doz,, mail was $12 to Fl I think .
have 3 people splitting so that is like $2 ea in mailing..

Pictures don't show traditional Racor mounting bracket. Years ago a guy working at NAPA advised me not to buy their replacement filters for Racor as only the patented Racor ones do stop water up to a stated vacumn amount. This was for marine use. They are installed between tank and lift pump if you have a supplemental pump. Freightliner surplus in Portland used to be a great source for stuff like this.

The bad thing about that one is it has no integrated mounting bracket. Most applications will have a hose conecting to the filter not rigid pipe. You would need to fab up a bracket.
