Whoever set up that machine is taking way too much metal off. Like one commenter said, "If I only want to sharpen my chain 4 times before throwing it out, I should buy this machine."

In this machines You can take just a light scratch what is enough...

I think this is a demonstration of how much you can take off with out overheating the chain.

As I sad.. it is just light scratch... not burning five minutes on just one teeth...

lets distill it a bit...

Why would I consider a plastic framed chainsaw sharpener with nothing precision about it, with a whirring grinding wheel, about to abuse my saw chain, when I can buy a precision sharpener like a Timberline (manual) or a quality motorized unit like an Oregon, with a metal frame and some degree of repeatability and control of the sharpening process. Makes no sense to get an inferior product and east chain loops up because the choice of sharpening device is inferior.

You could go through a bundle in loops eating up the cutting teeth or... do it right and get many sharpenings from a single loop. At my age (I'm as old as you are), I prefer to err on the side of frugality over crappy manufacture.

Ah-so; remarks require proper interpretation. When that is lacking who knows what the interpreter is interpreting.
