Our hummingbirds first arrived around 25th April this year. Not too many - probably a dozen or so is all.

We have seen a few so far in Ohio and my wife planted 120 feet of "Cardinal Vine" flowers along a tell fence that is sure to keep them around . Apparently, they love those flowers.

I saw one buzzin' around here about a week or so ago. Yesterday the wife came into the room while I was on the computer to talk and she was standing by the window and announced there was one just outside inspecting the blooms on the blueberry bushes. Gotta get that feeder up.

We had a couple around in early April - so I put out 2 feeders - got a few more - put out 2 more feeders - had about a dozen that we could count - 1 more feeder. Right now the Poplars and a few other things are blooming and we only see them rarely. I hope they come back when some things stop blooming. Last year and the year before we had dozens and used about 10# of sugar a week.

We are near Peterborough Ontario,,30 miles north of lake Ontario,,hummers have been here 2 weeks now,,not too many though
have wondered if numbers are down this year

Very few here in southern Illinois. They was later last year to. I'm hoping they will show up in full force in a few days. Miss them swarming the feeders.

It's nice to read these reports on hummers and other birds . We are going through 4 lts. of syrup a wk. right now. I have 1 feeder right out side my office window here in the house the sun just went down and the hummers are fueling up for the night . I can't wait until the baby's start showing up their a hoot top watch.

Saw the first hummer this morning. They were probably around a while before I saw one. Things are just getting a start on blooming here. Pin cherry is in bloom and apple blossoms are just about ready to open.

What I haven't seen yet are Mourning Doves. Saw only a few last year too.
