Changing Trailer Tire

I'd be woried that they would carry the weight of a loaded trailer.. anyone know weight specs? I know a layered 2x6 angled block would hold

We have used the metal Jiffy Jack and carry it with us all the time. It has been used on a horse trailer loaded with 3 horses and a pony.

Don't know the specs, but I've used a plastic one to change tires on a loaded 4-horse GN trailer. That'd be a similar load to a utility trailer with a CUT on it.

I like multipurpose tools. I just keep a few pieces of 4x4 PT in each trailer for chocking wheels or putting under the tongue jack, or for driving up on, to change a tire. They don't take very much room to store.

What about the fact that you could put twice the rated load on that one tire and 50% over the axle rating? If you were at full capacity load, that's what it would be. Granted it's a static/dead load not like driving down the road, but just curious if there's anything to be worried about. Good trick to know since I have 2 dual axle trailers now.

As long as there's enough air in the good tire, I doubt there's much of a problem running the good one up on a block long enough to change the tire.
