Can any of you guys tell me what two wires I need to change my ignition over to a push button? Is it one off the hot of the starter and one off solenoid or is it the two off solenoid or what? Ignition switch bad on my Ford 2000 3 cyl diesel and I want to convert. It doesn't have glow plugs, lights or anything else. All input greatly appreciated. mick

The wire that is hot upon the start circuit is the one to connect.

You will heed a hot wire from something to connect to the trigger wire on the solenoid. You will probbaly also need a switch to turn off the circuit to the alternator/generator so that it doesn't kill the battery.
