Not to hijack the posting but how do you get all of the fluid changed if you have a loader and a backhoe attachment? I'm guessing but there is probably 2,3, maybe 4 gallons worth still in the pistons of the attachments and hoses. Is this a problem?

Thanks Steve

I gave my old hydro fluid to a friend that has an old leaky log splitter. He couldn't have been happier.

Before changing lower the 3pt hitch and retract all FEL cylinders. Very little oil will remain in the hoses.

Kepp the OLD 5 gallon buckets the NEW fluid comes in for the next change too... may be a round a while but worth it when you need them.

I never Throw away a 5 gal bucket.Even Ones with holes in them.
Too many uses for them and they come in to handy .

Besides Why throw away something that Wall Mart and other places charge 2 or 3 dollars for?

?
How do you keep a bucket with a hole in it from Leaking?

A
Always put something bigger than the hole in it.
