Was having trouble getting blades off my Kioti mower. Read some of these posts on this site about reverse threads. You DO have to loosen the screws to the RIGHT. Hope this keeps someone else from losing their Christianity over trying to get them off.

My Bush Hog ATH-720 finishing mower has normally threaded bolts.

My Woods blades are right hand. I use an impact wrench and a box end wrench. Raise it and block it and you can get right to it. I change the nuts and bolts every couple years. When you're removing each blade put the hardware in some kind of container so you're not searching through the grass for that lost nut.

Impact wrench and obviously going in the right direction helps! I struggled for years trying to get mine off with a wrench and trying to block the blades and pulleys from turning until I went the impact route.
