I've got a Befco C50 finish mower and just broke my first blade. From underneth the mower, looking up, does the bolt turn left to loosen as a normal bolt, or is it right to loosen. I read on another post that 3/4" air impact is needed, or 3/4" breaker bar. I've got a 1/2" impact. If that doesn't work, I do have a 3/4" breaker bar. Sorry for the simple question, this is my first tractor. Thanks

Yep, should be normal "right hand" threads. And most half inch impact wrenches will remove them easily unless it's a very cheap and weak impact wrench and the bolt is very old and rusted in place.

I agree with Bird. On my 72" Befco mower the threads are normal (clockwise to tighten; counter-clockwise to remove).

I have had no problem getting the blades off with a 1/2" AIR impact wrench. However, I can usually only remove 2 out of 3 blades using my 1/2" DeWalt brand ELECTRIC impact wrench.
