belarus 420 a
i have a new to me belarus 420 that needs batteries replaced. would someone be so kind to walk me thru the proper sequence of removing the battery cables and reconnecting them.

You normally remove the ground cable first. That way if you bump your wrench against anything there will be no spark as that terminal is ground. Once that cable is removed touching any wrench from the remaining terminal to the frame will do nothing. When reconnecting simply connect the ground cable last.

thanks roadworthy for your reply. so to be clear i remove the ground clamp/cable first that goes from the ground lock out switch to the negative post on the first battery, then remove the clamp from the positive post on the first battery and then remove the clamp from the negative post on the second battery. and then remove the clamp from the positive post on the second battery. and when hooking up new batteries i hook the clamps to the posts in reverse order of the way i took them off
