Changes to BX 2200 & 1800?

Dealer in Russellville, AR told me this morning that there are going to be changes to the 1800 & 2200. He said the 2200 will be known as the 2283. The new models or changes are to be unveiled or announced the first of October. Anyone have any info about this?

Hootie, I tried to get some info from the Kubota reps at the Empire Farm Days, but they either were in the dark or they were close-lipped about the subject /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

According to this dealer they are being tip-lipped for some reason. He said all his orders for both the 1800 & 2200 were not being fulfilled and that he suspects that they will not be until the "new" models are introduced. This may just be a bunch of hipe but I am interested in what changes, if any, are being made.

Hootie,I was told by our Dealer that the BX line will have some improvments such as a tach. and a change in the 3-point hookup.Also said that the numbers would be changed to the 30 Series,like the new L- Series,1530,1830,2230 etc...

So,who knows? I guess we will have to wait...Gosh,I hate that /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Tach and 3 PT??????

Sounds like I already have a new BX2200 (which was new in July) as I installed the Tiny Tach for about $65 and the 3PT adjustment arms for about $70..... Also installed two chain hooks on the bucket, for a total cost of about $30.

Ron,I hear ya,just getting ready to do the tach. and 3-point upgrade myself.

Take what I've said with a grain of salt,these "changes" were told to me by a B.S. salesman /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Like I said,I guess we will just have to see what happens /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I spoke to my buddy who is a Kubota dealer sales guy. He said: 1) Yes indeed they have new models for the 1800 and 2200 2) They are due in mid October 3) They cannot take any orders for current BX 1800's or 2200's as Kubota is not supplying any further machines 4) He has 2 customers who have switched their 2200 orders to BX 22's 5) There are changes on the machines which are nice to have's but not major engineering design changes 6) He wouldn't say what those changes are - RATS!

I'll bet one of the changes will be increased safety interlocks, like the seat interlock that will shut the tractor down if you lift your rear off the seat on a hot day... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Glad I got one of the old style BX2200s last month... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

PITA interlocks I don't want or need...

I'll bet the loader controls will get a facelift as well, just as on the BX1500. Looks purty, but does have a better safety lock.

Just providing additional verification. I called my local Kubuta dealer and ask about buying a bx2200 (The wife wants her own tractor). He said he didn't have any on the lot and could no longer take orders for them.

He said the new bx2230 would be announced in October and that they wouldn't have any until probably November. He couldn't provide any more details but did try to sell me on either a bx1500 or b7500.
