Change of mind

I have noticed that sometimes I decide to post, but change my mind, or in the last instance, I inserted the wrong picture in my post. Although I did not actually "post reply", there seems to be no way to cancel or even delete the picture. I can sign off, and the potential post is still on my screen. Is there "delete" or "Cancel' mode?

Great question. I don’t know the answer but would like to know.

About the pictures;

When I insert a picture, I can click on it, it gets a red frame, and delete makes it go away, leaving the attachment icon in the lower left.

To make the smaller attachment icon go away, click the trash can emblem in the upper right. If you do this first, both go away.

I thought that I was hearty when I was 32 also, but not after watching that video.

I have the same complaint as the OP. That little diskette icon sort of works but you need to completely exit the thread to use it.

If you decide not to post something, on a PC, just do CONTROL+A to select all and hit the DELETE key. All done.

On a Mac or iPad, just hit CMD+A to select all and hit the DELETE key. All done.

Don't know how the phone works. I rarely use TBN on a phone.

But what if you post something then further research finds an answer and you want to go back a while later and delete the entire post?
Is it different for different sections of the forum?
I posted a question, found the answer a bit later, came back and did not see the Delete on the "Report Edit" line.
So I edited the heck out of it.

You should have a delete button right next to the edit, as in my screenshot above.

I believe that he asked how to delete a post, hence my reply above. Until that reply, I didn't realize that we can still edit posts after 24 hours have past. OR in the case above, after 41 days.
