I just changed the transmission fluid on my B2910 and changed the transmission filter on the left side of the tractor (left side when in seat facing front, that is). However I have just learned that there is another transmission filter on the right side of the tractor. I did not change that one - the dealer I got the new filter and Super UDT did not tell me there was a second filter and so did not offer to sell the other one to me.

I do not want to drain the transmission again just to replace the other filter. So, can I remove the right side filter without draining the transmission again, or will the fluid all start freely flowing out if I do that? I guess I could catch it in a pan and put it back in if that happens, but I don't like to put fluid back in that has drained out of a transmission even if it was recently replaced for fear of introducing contaminants into the trans and hydraulic system.

Remove the hydraulic/transmission oil cap.
Attach the hose from a shop vac to the hole (helper or ducktape helps).
Turn on vac.
Remove filters or drain plugs, etc. As needed.
Marvel at no oil spilling because of the suction.
