challenger mt275 engine oil?

My hrs are up and im due for an oil change. I don't have a manual for my tractor, so I was wondering what oil grade is recommended by manufacture? I was going to put 15-40 but someone told me that it would be to heavy for that little motor.

Generally speaking, most diesel tractors can take 30 or 40 weight oil. I use 5w40 in my Kubota. More importantly you will need to get the correct API specification oil for your tractor. Find out who manufactures the engine in your tractor and go from there.
