Tires Chains for 2320 w/ turf tires

Can someone point me to a good source of chains for the turf tires on my 2320? How should I translate sizing for the wide tire? Most of the auto parts stores I looked at advise chain size based on the standard dimension of car / truck tires.

Also, should I get chains for the fronts, or just the rear tires?

I ran chains last winter, front and back on my R4's in icey conditions, worked great. I just bought them from the dealer, they had them in stock and saved me from running all over the place to find them.

Just bought a set of (pricey) Tellefsdal A.S. chains (Norwegian translation: "Super tractor chain with T-coupler) from the dealer. They ran $400 - and at near dealer cost, too. I too have a 2320, but with R-4s. If I had turfs, I could have gotten away with the style chains available at places like tirechains.com for about $100-150. But the traditional cross-style would "fall" into the tread of the R-4s.

Mine look like they have big letter "O"s along the tread. The links are hardened 3/8" and have welded-on knobs. Man do they dig in. But it reinforces the fact that I've got to get years of use out of this machine to justify the expense.

Just noticed you're in the Champlain Valley... me too. Got mine at Harvest Equipment in Swanton. Best dealer experience of any motorized item I've ever bought. Same as when I bought a GX335 from them a few years ago. Beyond the least expensive of the area JD dealers, the service is supreme. In fact, just yesterday I went in looking at the front hydraulic blade - the salesman discouraged the expense and suggested a rear blade instead. Rather than just tell me what I need, he said, "how about this - I'll bring you a blade and you can try it out. If you don't like it, we can look into the hydraulic one." Well, I live about 45 minutes from the dealer. He delivered it tonight - and by the time I got home, he had installed it for me. Left me a receipt and said either mail them a check or call and tell him to pick it up. Not only had he discounted the blade $55, but no delivery fee either. Wow!
