Thinking ahead to winter. Never had a fwa before. Do you automatically put chains on the front when you chain the rears or are the rears alone ok?
In snow removal dress the Max25 with be sporting the FEL and either a 3pt blower or back blade depending on snow depth.

I've never chained the front on my tractors, IMO it is unnecessary wear on the drive. I know that some dealers will even say no(???)

I bought my 2615HST new in 04. Plow snow every year here in the snow belt and have not had to use chains yet. I did have spacers made for my rear wheels to move them out far enough to use chains. I do have a 900# rear ballast that I use for heavy snows. I also have a rental property with a steep driveway. That would be where I need chains. Up to present day (no chains) I drive up that driveway through the snow and plow downhill. Have not had a problem yet. If I decide to use chains it would be on the back. Front chains may help with steering providing extra traction for turning but I have compensated over the years as to the way I plow.
Just an FYI, A neighbor of mine has a JD790 and he uses chains front and rear.
Try plowing without chains first. The only time I see myself using chains would be on a real steep driveway.
