Need some input from some of you more seasoned tractor gurus. I recently purchased a L3901 with a LA525 loader and want to add some way to hook chains to the bucket to lift objects out of truck bed or move logs. I had some on my old Ford 641 loader and used it all the time. I am not a welder so that is out. I saw two places online:
Ken's Bolt on Grab Hooks <<Kubota Hooks>>
Quick-On Bucket Hooks

I wondered if anyone has used either of these or are there other options?

Thanks

I'm not sure if the BXPanded hooks will fit the bucket on your L. You can't go wrong with Ken's hooks. Great product, competitive price and quick shipping.

Ken's Bolt On Hooks are works of industrial art.

I agree, Ken's are great if bolt-on is your plan.

If you are able to weld, these weld-ons have worked well on four of my tractors. 3/8" also works with 5/16".

Suggestions:

>Mount two or three across the top of the bucket. DO NOT mount them outside of the FEL arms to avoid tip-over. Mounting them all on a heavy angle iron that goes across the top is especially nice. (Search for "grab hooks" or "chain hooks" to see photos.)

>If you have a light duty bucket with a folded metal top edge, weld a pipe under the edge to strengthen it and prevent collapse or bending where the chain goes over the edge.

>Mount one to the back edge of the bucket on a plate. Positioned there it can lift heavier loads.

>Always use more ballast on the back then you think you'll need. Someday, you'll need it.

I don't understand why anyone would weld them on when they can bolt them on and they're just as strong or stronger depending on your welding ability or lack thereof.

We sell them too, but in Grade #70.

And thanks to everyone else for the support!
