If it was me Richard (and your advice) made me 20K, I would have definitely reached out to you . . . .

Would you call your banker to thank them that the "X%" interest rate on your CD made you $20K? Most people don't. That's simply a process of mathematics.

What he was really, appreciative of, was he had no clue what and how a muni-bond worked and was inserting a bit of blind faith into what I had told him.

He had been presented a strategy... probably kept 10% doubt in the back of his head but the proof was in the pudding when he left the accountant. It was more about the strategy than the amount.

Yep - rates have fallen since Fed meeting when they said they were anticipating 3 rate cuts in 2024.

But that's about as low as I'll go.

Just trying to be in a strong cash position next year as I flirt with retiring early.
