Oil & Fuel century 2535 oil filter

Thought this might be helpful to someone. Got a crossover to mobil one & took it to advanced auto. They were able to cross that to a fram ph3593a.

I was Just wondering, why did you switch from a Mobile 1 oil filter, to a Phram? I have always ran Mobil 1 filters in my trucks, cars, and outdoor equipment. They were one of the top rated filters.

Wix, Baldwin, Napa Gold; you might want to google fram filters??? Its your tractor.

I was looking more at cost & availability of the filter. I know I can pick up fram filters easily & I think it was about half the cost of the mobile one. I know some are supposed to be better than others, but i've used fram on my vehicles & mowers for years. I've not had any probs. I really think it's more important to change oil & filters regularly. Anyway, I didn't want to start something on that. I had been trying to find a filter I could pick up at walmart any time I wanted, so I thought someone else might find it useful.

Finally got to look at the filters. I googled "Engine Oil Filter Study". Wix's makes NAPA filters. He spoke highly of the MOBILE 1 filter except for the cost. When it came to the Fram filters, he had most of them on his do not recommed list, this is not the first time I have been told Fram filters are not what they use to be. Considering I use Synthetic oil in my equipment, I will stick with the Mobile 1 filter. If I was using standard oil then I would use the NAPA Gold filter. Of course this based on the cost of synthetic oil vs. standard oil.

Hello everyone. I have a Branson 3520, Kukje 35hp/ 20 series frame size, and a . My question is: Does the Century 2535 have 35 hp and a Kukje 3 cyl. diesel? I have been looking for an aftermarket filter and can't find one. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I know autozone and NAPA have always been able to take my old filter and tractor model and cross reference it to filter they carry. I have did this for all my equipment, including 4-wheelers, riding lawn tractor, etc. You may have to ask a Branson dealer about the difference in your tractor and the new ones.
I know when you look at the difference in motor sizes between the tractors, they are just not that much difference in Cubic Centimeters, I am sure they all take the same oil filter. The trouble is just cross referencing it. That is where a good atuomotive store should help. Also a lot of the oil filter manufactures have cross reference sites on the internet, have you checked the archives on this site?

Yes you did- thank you. For my 2003 3520 I bought the fram PH3593A and took my Branson brand filter oil filter (OF 102030) off and checked them out. The thread pitch is the same @ 1.5MM and the diameter of the Fram filter is a few thousands of an inch smaller, the o-ring inside diameter is larger but the tractor engine mount plate is much larger and appears to seat the filter just fine. A Fram rep @ 1-800-890-2075 says that even though the filter appears to fit fine, he had no #'s available for cross reference and could not recommend the use of the Fram PH3593A filter. He went on to say that flow, bypass, burst, and filter micron levels are unknown and can damage my engine. Apparently no one that I have spoken with has a cross for the "Branson" OF 102030. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance for replying.

The rep is doing what the company requires, fire proofing his company's Butt. He can't recommend anything but Branson, of course the liablity and lawyers at your front and back door come to mind if he says that filter will work just fine, then something happens to the motor. Now with the Fram PH3593A, you should be able to cross reference it to any type of filter. I have never had any problems with after market filters. Now if it was a high performance engine, like a race car, then I might think twice.

From an Earlier post I have and have used Wix PN: 51334. No Problems. It has been recommended to stay with factory hydraulic filter.
