Cement mixer

Anyone have experience with cement mixers using the 3 point hitch - I have a 35 horse New Holland. Does it work well and are there any preferred brands of mixers? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Agri-Supply has the Cosmo cement mixer for $535.
Cosmo makes the First Choice, Land Pride, Big B, IMC and other brands sold by fleet stores like TSC.

Does the cement mixer require a hydraulic top link?

Can I use it with a NH TC24D (18.5 pto hp)?

I don't have any experience, and I don't think I can use most of them because my TC18 doesn't have enough power, but I found a web page describing one. And, again, I have no experience with the company or the mixer, don't know if it's a good price.

But, what I can say is, I wish all web pages were as thorough as this one. After reading it, there were no questions I could think of that hadn't been answered. Click here.

A mixer takes very little power, probably 1 hp is plenty. What your tractor may lack is enough power to lift the 1100# of a full micer, and enough front end weight to keep the front down?
