right on edge within coverage area, when i order phone. give a week for shipping. recheck coverage and now home is no longer considered in coverage area *DOH!* i get one bar outside. and at night about every 60 minutes i get a short boost enough to send/get txt inside home. and then outdoor i go if a phone call is needed.

i am kinda wondering if the recent large 2 hail storms coming through mess up antennae on cell tower.

wondering if anyone had any luck with passive signal boosters? and if not any cheap powered cell phone boasters? just looking for voice/txt and NOT large data for internet.

Does your provider support Wi-Fi calling? We have Sprint with no coverage at the house but make all of our calls through our homes Wi-Fi network.

No experience with cheap boosters. But we bought a WeBoost system for a few hundred dollars. It works great, and is the difference between me being able to type this on my phone in the house, or having to go outside.

I had the EXACT same problem.. called Verizon, they said someone hit the tower & they weren't going to repair it.. bought a reman signal booster for 100.00 from them, free shipping.. no more problems..
Every one of my neighbors love me for it.. its that strong..
for 100.00 you cant go wrong..

I'd be looking at other carriers. The typical solutions have been suggested regarding wifi calling or a hotspot that uses the wifi. The signal boosters/repeaters are a pricey and complex with all the different types of cellular frequencies. If you don't have other carrier options it sounds like the WeBoost is the way to go.

Maybe. But there are areas with poor cell coverage.

With a metal roof on my camp, I had to put in a booster. Not great, but better.

Where I am from, it is just not that unusual not to have coverage, or poor coverage.

What about cheap WiFi signal boosters. My neighbor wants to use his Wifi signal from his router out in his man-cave which is about 60-70 feet from the router. The signal has to go thru several inside walls plus 3 brick walls to get to his man cave location. His ATT router wont reach that far thru all the walls.
