I just picked up the CD version of Deere Service Manuals.

This is really cool. I have needed this for a while.

My set includes the x55's x70's, x90's, 4000's, and 4010's.

So far, it looks well worth the $20....

$20 dollars for a JD manual on CD sounds a whole lot like bootleg (i.e. illegal) copies.

I own the CD service manual and cd parts manul for the 3320 series.

Mine was $100 for the set from JD. Both came on one CD they burned with the two manuals I purchased and then they printed a white label with my manual numbers on it. They do not seem to be much into CD mastering. I also do not see any software privacy notices anywhere.

I bought mine through Deere Parts, and think it was around $75. Been worth it, and have responded to a few inquiries on this forum using it. Great schematics in color for the workings of the hydraulics.

I ordered my authorized service CD from the Deere dealer for about $50. About the same time I reported the guy on E-Bay to both Deere and E-Bay for selling illegal knock-off copies for less money. The good news is corparations are starting to wake up. Rockwell Automation is going after E-Bay sellers and buyers for buying and selling illegal software online and several other companies have indicated they will be following suit as a result of E-Bay's explosive growth.
Anyway, the CD is well worth the money especially if you're going to have a compact tractor for a long time. If nothing else it helps de-code the blinking fault codes from the "Service" light on the right fender.

My comment has nothing to do with anyone's pricing. It was aimed at the derogatory comments made toward dmp437 (since deleted) about him taking an honest stand. This country is a better place because of people like him.

I went ahead and ordered the CD through my dealer. I think it was $65. They also had it in print for about $120. Thanks for the info.

I bought my CD manual off of eBay last Fall for $20. If this was an illegal sell I didn't know it then and am not convinced that it was now. Just thought it was a great price. It's worth $100 IMO if you are the type to work on your tractor yourself which I would bet most TBNers are.
