You DO know that CBD oil is derived from marijuana? In my day DMSO was the rage. Horse lineament. I tried it - once - on my shoulder. Result - skin rash and smelled something like garlic.

Medicine man stuff!

I use a product called Flo, which is a CBD jel on my hands to relieve my arthritis pain. It works well for me. I get it at a local marijuana store. It's about 95% CBD with a trace amount of THC.

I think the best CBD products are the ones with some THC in it. My friends doctors noted our bodies have THC and CBD receptors. To get the most benefit, both of those receptors need to be satisfied. I think my friend benefit the most because he was taking THC with the CBD.

This is nothing scientific, just an observation.

CBD oil is great stuff! I bought a big bottle of the stuff and used it all one day....I never got so much work done....EVER! I just poured it into the Toolcat fuel tank and it ran better than ever. I could hardly keep up with it!

Yes, my brother was a regular user of MJ, over 40 years of it. The CBD oil was nice for him when he didn't want to be high, just pain free.

The Feds require the hemp/CBD products to be under something like .03 % THC to be legal (federally) but I've also heard (on radio shows) from several producers and or "providers" that the THC can compliment the benefits of CBD. I'd like to see some actual testing by the FDA but conventional medicine or "big pharma" owns a large chunk of Washington, so until they are well involved in its production, I'm not holding my breath. After hearing personal or family results from various (non stoners) folks that I've run into during normal life and there unsolicited testimony on cancer, joint pain, ADD of family members or themselves, I have been taking the oil and it does help with worn out shoulders and knees. Didn't realize how much until I stopped for a few weeks, questioning its effectiveness.
Like said above by others, it seems the dosage is highly personal and that most do not use enough. I use it for its anti inflamitory benefits, cutting back on my aspirin and Alive reliance.

I think you discovered a new use for CBD, maybe market it? How does it run on THC? Does it not get anything done, run slow and use more fuel?

That is my observation too. But then again, I don't subscribe to the MJ stigma that has been pumped down our throats for decades. An 84 y/o woman told me about this cream that she used for foot pain. A few of her friends had tried it. Some saw no results, some did. I bought some when I had some nerve pain and it moderated it some. My wife is an herbalist and makes a pain salve that gives a slightly better result for mine. I use both. Cayenne and Arnica pain creams are pretty easy to come by and work well for some.

I didn't read more than three of the postings.
I have used low dose THC for my Chronic Back-Pain with great success, muscular then bone level.
I don't over use THC but I found the CBD Substance didn't do much good, so I tried the THC route and cut the dose to one eighth the suggested dose, seemed to help.
I take the self subscribed dose before bed, kicks in somewhere along the sleep cycle and I slept better and wake up felling less pressure in the back.
My Wife tried the CBD as a pick me up, that's what the bottle said, almost nothing to report on that.

So... IF... you don't have an addictive personality, and you can exert self control..., you might find something a little stronger in the THC market that can fill the bill and take the edge off !

Keep the oral CBD to low doses. The epilepsy CBD medication approved by the FDA requires regular monitoring of liver enzymes. A number of the patients in the clinical trials had to withdraw because of liver toxicity. My impression is the doses were pretty massive. You should be OK as long as you don't drink the stuff. The fact that you can't get enough to hurt you by smoking it doesn't mean it isn't toxic in large doses. Table salt will kill you if you eat enough of it.

Not all lotions and ointments are created equal. I use a local product called Ugli Butter, that is CBD and arnica in a coconut oil carrier. It works pretty good on my arthritis. It works so good I tried to invest in their company, but they turned me down. They mail order, so if you want you can google them. I don't have any conditions that require me to use CBD internally.

Hmm. I tried it to possibly lower glucose. Did not and affected the liver test adversely. Stopped it.
