cattle fencing allowing for wildlife

I've got quite a bit of fencing to do.....that said we also have quite a bit of wildlife at our place....I would like to be able to keep my cows in while allowing deer and other critters easy access to the property....I've looked on the net but have had a hard time finding first hand expierence with it....any and all suggestions are needed and appreciated....call me a worrier but this is keeping me up at night!

In my opinion build your cattle fence as required. The Deer will find a way under/over and through it.

yup- deer are very versatile. they been known to jump 5 ft fences. MINE!!

Seems most fences attacts wildlife in strange way...wildlife must figure if land owner doesn't want us in there,there's some good eatting to be had.

Build the fence to hold your cattle. The deer will get in, don't worry about them.

Deer don稚 have to run to jump a 5ft fence . He will jump over it like it ant there.

The current way it is done here for barb wire is that the lower strad must be more than 12 in above ground and be smooth non barb wire to allow smaller animals to go thr the fence.

Our entire property is fenced with barbed wire to keep the cattle in. Over the last few years we have had deer, turkey, bobcats, fox, and bear on the property so I wouldn't lay awake at night worrying about the fence!

We watch deer jump over a 5' fence quite regularly. They come to a feeder near our house and then cross the gravel road and jump over the fence to get into the woods. If you want, you can leave the bottom wire high or at your streching post H-braces, leave room at the bottom. Small fawns will run along the fence until they get to the H-brace and then go under. Fawns don't have to be very old before they can jump the 5' fence as well as other deer.
