Hey dozer guys, I just purchased a 2015 Cat D4 K2 LGP with 1800 hours on it. My first dozer so I知 learning. I知 getting a really loud creek/squeak sound whenever I angle or tilt the blade in every direction. I致e greased every fitting I can find and expected this to resolve that noise, but it hasn稚. Any ideas as to what I知 missing or need to do?

Thanks.

It's to protect the sensitive electronics; it most definitely isn't primarily for operator comfort/safety. All these new dozers have GPS stacks on the blades and autopilot.

Have someone run the controls while you walk around the dozer blade. You should be able to pin point which pin the noise is coming from.

Now I understand. You used to very lucky if it even had a canopy.

Cabs were available on dozers long before they had "sensitive electronics"...

Cabs are expensive, so most folks didn't want/need them, except in the cold climates.

Keeping a good operator is more expensive than a cab. Operators have gotten more soft over the years but the machines have become more productive and schedules seem to be more demanding than ever. The ability to have an operator willing to work in all conditions is almost priceless for a company's bottom line not to mention. A better resale value.

To the op, I think you need to find the source of the squeaking. Something needs lubed or adjusted. My 70's 550 jd dozer doesn't make a noise when going through all motions.
