I have a cat 2 tractor and just purchased a speeco cat 2 quick hitch. I also have several cat 1 implements: bush hog, box scraper blade and tiller. Given that the cat 2 quick hitch is wider than the cat 1 implements, do they make an adapter (i.e. longer pins) that I can put on my cat 1 implements. I know I can buy the adapters that change the pin diameter (and have bought a set for each cat 1 implement), but wonder if they also make the longer adapter pins. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tractor Supply has lift pins (draw pins) with a nut where the typical shoulder is. That way you can make it stick out farther. Not sure if will work for what you want.

TS also has the same thing in CAT 2 but twice as expensive.

You may have to re-engineer the CAT 1 implements to get them to line up. That is, if you weld. Just leaving the pins sticking way out would put a lot of strain on the implement and the pin.

I prefer the Pat's Easy Change system because so many of my implements have variable widths. Some are homemade.

This subject is something I am wondering about as a newbie.

My l5460 can do cat I or II and so far all my implements have different width lower pins to accomodate either.

But as I am getting more implements and swapping more often, I am thinking about getting a QH (maybe a land pride). But would hate to get a cat I qh as it can do away with the advantage of the cat II pin positions.

But then I have to take the qh off when using implements that are cat I and aren't cat II compatible. Like how the Wallenstein bx62s shipper looks to me. That does away with lots of the advantage of a qh....

The Priefert quick hitch is adjustable for Cat 1 and Cat 2.

It says for cat II needs tractor adjustment whatever that is. And says for cat II, cat I sized pins are still required.

If I am reading correctly.
