Farmall 95
Could someone please tell me the difference between a Case 95X and a Case 95. We have one of each and some parts are interchangeable and some are not. Decals are the same on both tractors with the exception of the X after 95 on one of them. No local Case dealer can give me any information when I give them the serial # on the 95.

Are both built in same place? X might be a different factory.

I don't like CaseIH's "new" numbering system, seems way too many models that use the same number with different letter designation

Isn't Case and Farmall basically the same company?

What does the SN plate say for country of origin? I’m not sure if one is built for Case by Turk Tractor in Ankara, Turkey, and the other may have a different country of origin. The info I found says the 95 was built at the Turkish plant.

Farmall was an IH trade name before Case bought them. Fiat is doing a rational marketing gimmick and using the name to make it seem more American. Like a Budweiser that is a stolen Czech name for a formerly American company that portrays itself in a way that makes bubbas think it still is as American as apple pie.

I don't care so much about country of origin as long as they have a mostly free market...just not a fan of the deception.

I remember the Tenneco merger of Case and IH and them pushing Case as being the official company history, took almost twenty years and the Case-New Holland merger for them to dig into the IH side ("red "I" logo, Farmall resurrection, Scout utility vehicle rebrand of a club car product etc) The main reason for Farmall reappearing because IH dropped use of it in the 70s and JI Case, Casecorp and then Case New Holland never used it...many decades inactive so the prospect of someone else claiming and using "Farmall" trademark because real.
