My 580D power shuttle fill tube has a dipstick with no full or low markings. The tube is full of oil as I pull the cap with the dipstick out. The cap has the dipstick attach to it with no markings and also use to fill or add oil to the power shuttle. Question is how high is the oil suppose to be in the power shuttle? Presently I have no manual for this machine. I would like to know if this is normal for the tube to be full like it is. Thanks guys,

Flatbed,
The oil in the power shuttle should be checked like the oil in an automotive automatic transmission, i.e. with the oil at operating temp and with the engine running.

Your dipstick has no marks on it because it's a replacement. Case supplied a "universal"
dipstick through parts and it came with instructions on how to mark it for your specific model. Whoever replaced the dipstick didn't do this.

I don't recall the exact measurement but for some reason I keep thinking that the oil level should be around 2" from the end of the stick, IF ... IF .. the stick was cut off at the proper length.

Sorry I can't help more.

Mark

Thanks trademark I will stop by Case equipment sometimes soon and check with them I though the oil was alittle too high . I am getting ready to change it and put in what is required. Again thanks.
