I have case jx1090u. The power steering and the front loader have a tendency to stop working in below freezing weather i asume there is water in the oil, but i can t find where to check and or empty and or refill. All tips are welcome.

I would think if there was enough water in the system to cause problems with icing, you would notice it by the color and texture of the oil even when it's above freezing. Water and oil mixture gets ugly fast. Assuming (on my part) water is not the problem, I'd lean more towards filter restriction or the oil itself is a little too thick for cold temps. If the filter hasn't been changed in a while, I would replace that first and see if it helps at all. Maybe go out on a cold morning, pull the hydraulic dipstick and look at the oil. Does it look right? Does it drip off the stick at all, or just hang there?

How many hours on her and when was the hydraulic fluid and filter last changed.
When I first read this it made my look up what type of hydraulic system you have but per tractor data it is an open center.
I have seen on pressure compensated systems were the loader valve had a stone mesh filter located in the pressure sensing line it that was susceptible to plugging and freezing.
