When we put the hydraulic remote in detent they don't release... We have the timer set for 3 seconds and have the dial in the arm rest set to 1. Any suggestions on how to get this working?

Not familiar with MX 285 hydraulics but on most systems With the valve in detent you applying pressure to the work ports which will make it next to impossible to disconnect the quick disconnects. Usually the lever is in the spring centered position and any and all weight is removed from any implement is removed before disconnecting the remotes.

Sounds like the timer is not working. IRC on the 285 you can turn the timers off to run scrapers and vacs that require constant flow. A lot of times it needs to use the case dump on the return side to get max flow.
