1991 Case IH 535
I have a 1991 Case IH 595 with cab. It has heat and air and a radio. I had to replace a the ignition in it because the key broke off inside it and I couldn't get the piece out. The new one plugged into the harness perfectly. Problem is that nothing happens when I try to start the tractor. Not with the key in the auxillary position or any other position. No dash lights....nada. My first thought was that in messing around, I had blown a fuse, but they all seem good. I do see 3 Bosch relays near the fuse box, (all identical) but even if I could check them I wouldn't know how, and I hate to buy a relay unless I am pretty sure that's the problem. The fuses I checked and the 3 relays are under the top of the dash. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks to anyone and everyone who can think of what might be wrong here.

Geoff

Your next investment should be a testlight, not a relay. You need to verify the circuits to and from said key switch

take the old switch and test with a oms meeter then do the same with the new switch .. you may have got a dud .. my 684 IH , the stinking light switch cost $134 ...just for a stupid light switch . thats nuts . so when it gets dark i shut things down .lol good luck
