Anybody know of a case out there that works for the MS660? Kind of hard to believe that Stihl does not make one for the 660 or 880, but I guess they would be too big for the rest of the saw lineup.

I have looked but no one seems to make them for these saws. Don't know why. I think most folks would buy one after spending 1K plus on a saw. I did find something in my search that may interest you. They make a case for traveling with the chainsaw. I guess guys use this for saw competitions. This may work. See link.

Here is some other ideas.

This one holds 1 or 2 chainsaws. Rubbermaid truck box at wally world. You could cut a slot in box to leave your long bar and chains on saw.

Also one I have to hold 4 in truck when travailing etc. 066 is in there with a 5000 357 7901.

I have a smaller Stihl, a MS260, but I was surprised that the dealer wanted $75 for a case. Then when I asked for it, the didn't have one in stock. I made one. I think the Rubbermaid case would be a good idea.

Kept the chop saw in a rubbermaid case. Took it into the hotel rooms at night. The big old orange metal box with Stihl written on it was to tempting to leave on some jobs sites. People would even try grabbing it in the parking lots at lunch. Not all jobs are in good areas.

I bought a 260 in February and the case was $40 but is cheaply made. The case would be fine except the hinge is the type you would expect to find on a $5 tackle box. The case for the Poulan I had been borrowing from my Dad has a better hinge.

I have 2 very nice Black Stihl Hinged cases that will take a 20" bar. $30.00 will take one. I moved to my wood paradise and do not need the cases any longer. Pics if interested. ( I would shure like to run a tank of gas through one of those big 660 Stihls )
