Case DX45
I have a 2009 DX45 that has been relatively problem-free. A month or so ago I had a FEL hydraulic hose rupture so I replaced the hose and the battery at the same time. First time it started up, the alternator light was on but not full brightness, and the gauges kept jumping and the "turtle-rabbit" shifter lights were out and it would not change from high to low speed. I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse that was blown and it worked fine for a full day afterwards. This week I used it a full day with no problems, then yesterday every time I'd move the FEL up or down it would blow the fuse. Any ideas? Could air in the hydraulics cause this?

I went through the same thing, and ended up taking the loader operator handle apart and found the wires chaffed and rubbing inside the housing. Taped each individually and put back together and ended a slew of replaced fuses

Lamarbur was dead on. The wires in the stalk pass over the sharp metal edge of the mount for the actuator pistons and one was worn through the insulation and shorting out. Soldered it up and wrapped it and it's working great. Thanks lamarbur, if you ever get to Texas I owe you a steak dinner :)
