I have posted a couple questions here regarding this machine. Got one more. Used it this weekend and noticed the converter temp gauge got into the yellow zone. I checked the fluid at the dipstick by the batteries and it was slightly low but still on the stick. What causes this?

The cause is usually slipping the converter too much. Try running engine at a higher rpm or a lower gear or both. This should help the temp unless your already doing it.

Are you shoving hard in high, if so, drop to low on the track speed. It's like an automatic tranny. It'll heat up if slipping. Listen to the machine. If its not moving in high, adding more fuel won't help. Get a smaller bite or use low

There is a lever just to the left and below the seat. I believe it is in the down position. I also have the track levers pulled back, closest to me. Is this low?

Yes. Have high neutral and low. Low is closest to you. Are you shoving trees or dirt? Can't remember if it has a converter cooler or not. Those are good tractors. Less to go wrong than a new hydrostatic machine. 24 volt iirc

Mainly saplings (underbrush) and dirt. Pushed one good size tree out of the way. Handled it well. It is 24v.
