Case 580SE \"Return to Dig\" function?

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't seem to get RTD to work on my 580SE. The manual isn't very explicit about putting it into this mode. Do you enter "float" then bump left momentarily, or go diagnoally into left/float as shown in the manual (and then let it go?). If I play with it at idle, I can cause a stall sometimes, which makes me think the bucket was trying to roll, but I can't find any consistent procedure. The switch seems to working as expected - maybe the solenoid is bad? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Its been a while since I ran a SE, and I doubt the RTD worked on it, but if its anything like our 580M, just pull the stick to the left more than usual and it holds it until the bucket returns to, if set right, level when the loader is down.

It was a diagnol action, diagnol between lower and Rollback.
