I have a case 55a with 200 hrs. It sits fir long periods without being used. The last few times it will give me issues starting..when it starts it runs without issue. I shut it off and wait a few minutes and try to start again and it just cranks but won't roll over. Could it be a bad sensor somewhere? Doesn't seem to be battery or fuel issues.

I've run into a "no start" problem on a couple Workmaster 55 tractors, the blue cousin to yours. In all cases it turned out to be no power to the fuel pump solenoid. It was never intermittent though, it was just a dead circuit. You could test the wire to the pump when it occurs next to see if there's power. All you need is a test light. If you have power and it still won't start, then yours is a different problem.

It does sound like a fuel issue. If it cranks it is probably not a safety or sensor issue. Do you have good flow from the tank? How's your fuel filter? Does it have a water drain?
Replaced filter last year..seems to have good flow. Not sure about water drain will need to check that out. It's weird that it runs great when it's running then other times it will crank and not fire.

Still could be electrical. Remember the fuel pump gets power through the operator aggravation module, not just when you turn the key on. THAT decides whether the pump turns on or not. It doesn't care how much fuel flow you have or where you have it.
