I need to bleed the air out of my fuel system on my case 485. I have no idea what the proper process is for this. I have a duel fuel filter system setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have the 484. If it’s like mine, there should be a screw on top of the filter housing. Take that screw out of the first filter that is in line with the tank and let it bleed all the air out. Repeat for the next filter. If you have changed filters, the best way to avoid this is to fill the filters with fuel first. That’s what I do and both tractors (484, 685) fire right up with no problems.

I have a 385 and have had success bleeding air first by loosening the screw on top of the filter housing on the right side of the tractor until no air is in the fuel. Then repeat on the housing on the left. The owners' manual says if the engine still runs rough to bleed remaining air by momentarily loosening the injector lines starting at cylinder #1. My engine always picks up the fuel without bleeding the injector lines.
