,Just purchased a 1974 case 446,,with mower and snow blade. Joined group to find more info about it,,have had a few wheel horses,,hoping the case will be as just as good as them,,,,,thks

I just purchased a 446 as well. Haven't really had a chance to run it through its courses yet but have done a ton of research on them. The general consensus on them is that they are pretty much a bombproof tractor. They are very rugged and durable. The only thing I have heard issues with is sometimes the the ez-adust clutch on them sometimes sticks but there is a great video on youtube showing how to service them.

The motors on them are usually pretty solid but parts are getting harder to find for the Onan brands but they still can be found but if the motor does go bad a BS vanguard can usually drop right in.

Overall I think you will be happy with the tractor. This brand of tractor hold true to the saying. They just don't build them today like they did in the old days.
