Case 235/245/255

Hi,
I just picked up a 1990 Case 245 in great shape.

I have two questions.

First, has anyone used the 72F Case blade. This came with the blade and frame but appears to be missing parts, no hydraulic cylinder or any other mechaism to lift. I searched without success for a diagram or picture, so I bought a manual for the blade on Ebay.

Second issue, the brakes are really crappy, the left side is leaking oil around the assembly, the right is grabby. Should there be oil in there?

I ordered the service manual online but it willl be a couple of weeks, or so they say.

I'd appreciate any light anyone could shed!

I made progress on the 245. The brakes are dry, drum brakes. I had a bad seal on one side and the local bearing shop carried it. I disassembled and cleaned the brakes, and used my orbital sander to sort of resurface them. They work great now.

I received the shop manual I ordered and an owners manual on the blade.

I just need to fab a front bracket and figure out the cylinder size and throw and I'll be all set.

Messick's has great parts diagrams online, other parts places might also.
Anyone have a good estimate on the cylinder specs?
