Snowblower case 220

I have acquired a case 220 that i already have a snowblower for. I pinned on the snowblower and attached the belt but when you kick in the attachment the pulley jumps and the belt falls off. there is a recess in the shaft coming off the from of the motor. Wondering if there is something wrong with the shaft

Same with a mower deck the attachment lever is not ideal. Doesn't do what it's supposed to
