A few years ago - QUITE a FEW, perhaps MANY ?
There was a very active poster here who was a Kubota dealer somewhere in the Carolinas (NC I think).

Stan or Steve Carver or Carter ?
A name like that,,,
Anyway, it has been a while since I saw a post from him, so long that I even forgot his actual name.
Not that I am a REGULAR reader or poster in the K_word sections (-:

Anybody know if he is still around ?
Just not posting here ?

Whassup ?

Steve Carver was the gent of Carver Equipment in Dunn, NC. I think he sold off his main Kubota dealership in order to spend time with family - I think he still deals with a small amount of equipment on the side. Someone please correct me on any incorrect statements here.

I tried to deal with Carver Equipment a few years ago (BX model) and they had all kinds of issues. They were offline for sometime and looks like they are back, looks poor though.

I thought I remember someone posting that Carver went out of business. I liked their site because they would actually post prices on new Kubota packages. For someone not too serious it was nice to know roughly how much things went for.

I bought both of my Kubotas new from Carver Equipment... one in 2002 and the other in 2005. They were good people to deal with, knowledgeable, competent and fair. I understood it was a long-time family dealership whose owner, Steve Carver, found a buyer about 3 years ago, I think, and decided it was time to move on. Don't know if the business climate was a factor, but something apparently didn't go as planned and the business closed shortly after the new owner arrived.

I know Steve has done some consulting and some buying/selling/consiging of equipment since then. Interesting to see a Carver website is back. Those people at the old Kubota dealership always treated me well, so I wish Steve good luck and success.

No, No No, Steve Carver is still in business, just received an e-mail from him.
Carver Equipment, PO Box 754, Dunn, NC. Friend of his in NC had major tornado damage that wrecked his home completely.
That was the purpose of e-mail to try and help out.

I don't think Steve wanted to continue after the sudden death of his wife. He sold Carver Equipment Co. and the new owner did not stay in business long. I don't know if Steve has regained ownership of the Business.
