Somebody must have posted a thread on Carry-alls. I can't seem to find it. I'm looking to build one simular to the King Kutter subconpact model. I've checked around town and nobody has them in stock. My local farm supply store had the best price, but it was a 4+ week lead. I'm looking to build my own, but I'm not sure what the angle sizes are. My lift capacity is around 600lbs.

If you're asking what size angle iron you should use, I'd suggest 2" flanges and .19" thick.

That would do the trick...

Go to How-To-Plans.com and order the platform carry-all plans. They are on sale right now for $6.95. They are very good plans and I have built 3 based on these plans plus another heavier duty one based on these plans. BTW, it uses 2.5" x 1/4" angle.

Roy has about the right size metal. The bottom part sticks out far enough for a pallet to bolt right to it. The vertical part is about 36" total, with the lift points about 1/3 to 1/2 way up. Then you need a couple spots for the top link to fit to that are about 3" apart. If you want to follow the specs for cat. 1, the top link attachment is 15" above the center line between the bottom lift points. The bottom lift points are 26" apart, including any shoulder on the pins.
