Carlinville Fall fair

finally got around to getting a page put together of pics from the Carlinville fall fair / tractor show etc.

This was last sep 19th weekend. Was a great craft show, they have an ausome blacksmith shop (looking into takeing some classes this fall/winter) and tractor show was ok. (lots of green... but it is IL country)

anyway to the pics

oh ya got a small clip of the steam engine as it went puffing by. very cool to see in action. havnt seen one under power sence i was a little kid in OH.

i thought so to which is why i took a pic of it.

so many tractors i told myself... only take a couple of pics of single tractors....

We have an annual Bridgewater Virginia lawn party that has 100's of old tractors and equipment like this. I always go.

The second big JD in your pics brought back memories. Looks like a 5050 JD with big Detroit a farmer in our area had put in. We were at the tractor pull in Union Grove, Wi. and everytime he hooked he would pull it out the end. We just happened to be behind him going out of town toward his farm and the thing actually was running almost 55mph. I had no idea they would run that fast, can you imagine the dust discing at that speed?

no numbers but the thing had a HUGE detroit in it. Which was new to me, and again... why it got a pic

The pic doesnt do it justice it was hands down like twice as massive as the stuff around it.

btw fixed the bug on the first pic (doh!)

I also added a couple of (small) movies of a hit and miss.... and the steam engine. 4.0 meg and 2.0 meg (so dial up beware)
