carb doesn\'t fit back on
I just finished putting new floats and a rebuild kit in the carb for my '41 A. I tried to set it back on the manifold tonite, but it doesn't fit!
When I took it of, it had a stud with a nut on one side(5/16). On the other side was a nut and bolt(1/4). I bought nice new studs to replace the odd bolt.
When I went to install it, the studs turned out to be wider than the holes on the manifold.
I first check the ears on the carb to ensure they were not bent. then I measured the carb. The holes are 1-1/4" on center. Next I measured the intake; the holes are 1-3/8" on center.
Does anyone have any idea's? This is just plain odd! Do I have a wierd mix of intake and carb?
The tractor is a '41 A. The carb is a Zenith. It has "B2" stamped on the bottom. On the top is a tag that reads "10850A" I did not see any readily visible marks on the intake.
I'm stumped and confused!
