After a rebuild to a big M/S in a 1959 881, the IT manual says: "To adjust the main adjusting needle, bring engine up to operating temp, remove any three spark plug wires, open the throttle to full throttle setting and adjust the main needle until highest operating rpm is attained. Turn the needle clockwise until the engine speed just begins to drop, then turn cc just enough to bring the engine speed back to top rpm."
Is that really possible---to remove 3 S.P. wires and run it to max rpm's? The last bit makes sense, but I don't believe my tractor will run with 3 S.P. wires removed...
