The hay in the pic was 2008 Grand Champion at the local fair and was the top alfalfa tested for RFV (relative feed value) at Forage Day sponsored by Purdue.
It is tough to make hay that nice in Indiana consistently. I am going to chearish that one.
Yeah it's not cheap here but after accounting for transport down to Texas, handling, storage, and feed store profit I guess it could be worse.
Congratulations on your prize. I have trouble growing, well everything.... including hair. :laughing:
