It's true that sometimes smaller is better. When the first MX5000 was introduced as a low-option version of the grand L chassis, I used one for a while and it had good agility and handled 6-foot attachments ok. But the M6040 is way more tractor for a small price bump. Overall size isn't much different. If you get the M6040 or M7040 my guess is you'd never think you made the wrong choice......really all i have is one Big tractor. It does everything right now, and sometimes smaller is better in some tasks.
In a perfect world we'd all have as many tractors as we have hammers.
