Anyone have any recommendations on a canopy for my 1433?
I did a quick search on the forums but only came up with info on the Tufftop, which is not as rigid as I would like- I'm thinking I'd like to mount some lights to the top. Curtis looks good but a little pricey in my mind.
Suggestions?

Thanks

Well, it's been awhile, but if you do a search from long ago, you'll find the Wells Ag Company canopy, which is what I had. And if you go to my gallery you can see some pictures of it. Unless something has changed, they only sell through tractor dealers, but told me in the past that they'd be glad to deal with tractor dealers anywhere in the country. They build them in unpainted diamond plate aluminum or painted steel to match the tractor. Mine was rigid enough that I mounted my tiltmeters, rear view mirror, worklights, and worklight switch on it.

I will second the WellsAg canopy. If you want a good durable canopy that will live through anything that can happen to a canopy Wells is what you need. I have had one since 1999. It has been hit, bent and everything else you can think of. I just bend it back out and it's fine.

I have the diamond plate aluminum version.

How much height does your canopy add ? I'll be putting one on a 1540.

With the factory Wells brackets, I would say that it adds about 2 inches. That is from memory, because I changed mine over to a slider. I built framework to allow the canopy to slide back over the backhoe seat. The framework raised the canopy a couple of inches.

Thanks. I have only about 3" clearance between the rops and the barn door frame. I'm trying to decide between a metal canopy (wells) and a flexible/removeable one (TuffTop). I perfer the metal but with the clearance problem I may need to have one I can remove so I can fold the rops. From what I've been told the mount for the tufftop adds around 3-5" so I'll have the same problem with either.

It looks like my options are: cut out the top of the door, let air out of tires at night, or buy a removable canopy so I can lower the rops.

Does anyone have other suggestions ?
