Jinma 354, purchased 2007
I didn't put the canopy on my Jinma 354 when I bought it, and now that I've gotten around to doing it I find that it doesn't really fit -- it's about an inch and a half wider than the supports on the side of the ROPS. I can kind of squeeze it to make it fit, but it doesn't look very secure that way.

Looking at it, I can't help but think there is something I am missing. I'm thinking of putting a piece of 1-inch lumber on each side to fill the gap and stiffen it.

Any thoughts?

Do you have any pics or part numbers? There are a couple of dealers on this list that may be able to help you out.

I just bought a Westendorf Cool Cap for my Lenar 304. They shipped the wrong color to my local dealer so I'm waiting for the new one to arrive.

I had the same problem on my JM354. I just added some 3/4" oak flooring wood on each side for shims. Don't try and force the sides in as you'll bust the fiberglass. Just put some wood shims in and you'll be fine. bjr

I think that's the answer I've been looking for. I think if I use long pieces of wood it will also stiffen the canopy. I even have some oak flooring lying around!
