Here are some accessories that I like pretty much on my B3030.

First, let's talk about the loader's joystick. Last year I tried a JD (I don't remember if it was a 4115, a 4210 or a 4310) and I loved the position of the joystick. So this year when I changed for a B3030, I knew there was a remote joystick for the B3030 because there's one in the cab model. I told my dealer that I wanted the remote. He delivered my tractor with the standard valve because he didn't have the remote at that time. I must say that I'm lucky because I tried two different valves on my tractor and I love the remote. You can operate it with the elbow leaning on the arm rest. It's very comfortable even when working many hours with the FEL. But you have to raise the right arm rest when you want to flip forward the seat (for backhoe operation; the BH75's seat doesn't allow the two seats to be lowered at the same time).

OK next, it's nothing but it's very convenient: a step aid. It costs nearly nothing but when you have to step up and down of the tractor often you really appreciate it. It takes about 2 minutes to bolt it in place. I bought it mainly for next winter, but finally I use it a lot more than I'd have thought first. The step aid and the MMM are not compatible but as I said it takes only 2 minutes to bolt it on and off. I must say though that I use my MMM as a step aid when it's raised. Anyways... it's nice to use it.

Last one (for now... I need extra lights for next winter) is a quick-attach and forks. It's the pin-on type. Ok, you have to step down of the tractor to put/remove the pins but it costs nearly 3 times less than a Skid-Steer type quick-attach. It takes around 25 seconds to do the job. The rated capacity of the forks is 600 lbs. The rated capacity here is not the capacity of the frame or the forks in themselves but it's what the tractor can safely manage. I move 1000 lbs with it but I nearly tipped over when I lowered the load (and the backhoe was mounted). By experience, I can say that you can easily manage 750 to 800 lbs safely. I loved the forks. I use it for different kind of works (not just pallet moving), for instance I use it to move trees from place to place. First I dig around with the backhoe to make a nice bundle of roots. After that, I plunge the forks at angle below the bundle of roots and I pop out the whole package (in fact, I should make a post about that with pictures, it's pretty impressive the way it's done). And that's only a glimpse of what I do with forks.

Stef,
Nice setup. I really like the step aid. Do you have a part# for that? I have the 2630 but i think it should interchange with it. I also liked the location of the JD loader joystick but I didnt know there was that option for the kubota. Thanks for the pics. Jim

Another thing I miss from my old tractor that my 2630 doesnt have is the loader bar that went across the hood. I used to use it as a grab handle jumping on and off the tractor. Now if I could just find something like that again along with that step /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif My life would be a lot easier.

Here are the part numbers:

step aid: 6A700-51350
bolts (4): 01125-60816

I just looked at TractorSmart.com and the step aid is listed at 13.70$ and 2.50$ for a pack of 10 bolts. It's pretty cheap to ease the step up/down so much.

Stef, do you have to drill holes for the step aid or do they already exist on the tractor?

The holes are already there. In fact, the nuts are already welded on. It's very easy to add that step aid. For the price of the machine, Kubota should have included this option when you buy the tractor. As I said, it's not compatible with the MMM and this is probably the reason why they don't include it.

Here's an exploded view of the step.

If you look beneath the step it's easy to see where the bolts go on.

Stef, thanks for sharing the pics. I file all these types of photos away so I have some ideas when I start looking for a new welding project... :)
