Can the BX dig it?

I agree the box blade would help!
You could drop the scarifier teeth down to tear the soil loose.
Then use the front loader to scoop it and move to the new location.

Well, as luck would have it, I do have a 3 pt. scoop that I've been using on the 8N I have. Works pretty good if you loosen the dirt with the middle buster first. However, the landscaping mounds are getting pretty high and its getting hard to continue as I'm getting a little scared the 8N will turn over if I'm not careful. Besides, I need a new tractor for a host of other reasons. Just trying to decide if the BX will work.

If you have the box blade with tines on it, just break the soil up and start scooping. The BX will do what you are saying without many problems. Since I do not have a backhoe, I have dug 3' deep area's around several stumps inorder to pull them out with the BX. It has never failed. Heck the Chief has just approved a tooth bar to make it easier.

Just scoop the dirt you need out and then use the box blade to level it.

I keep looking for an excuse to get a bigger tractor, but the BX just keeps doing the jobs!
